If you’re doing a box kit of permanent dye? We recommend also doing it on dirty hair. If you’re doing color like Manic Panic or Special Effects, you’re going to want to do it on very clean, VERY dry, UNCONDITIONED hair.

Will Manic Panic work on dark hair?

We’ve got colors that work great on brown hair. For best results with Manic Panic, you’ll want to lift/bleach hair before coloring. ALWAYS do a strand test before coloring to ensure you’ll be happy with the outcome and you can adjust your mix if necessary!

Manic Panic should shampoo out if you keep washing your hair, or you can use Blue manic panic to tone orange. You’re probably going to end up with a dark brown with blue hues. Orange can be somewhat neutralized with blue.

How long does Manic Panic last on brown hair?

If you choose dark tones like red, purple, and green, it will last longer than lighter tones (like blue and pink). They can last six to eight weeks, whereas pastel shades will probably only last two to three weeks.
