When typing matters To be a programmer, you should be able to type without having to think too hard. Typing fast is not important in and of itself: you want to be able to type without interrupting your train of thought. That’s the crucial skill for programmers.

The health care team all knows the code is going to end badly, and they don’t really want to torture the patient. So a “slow” code means the health care staff responding to the code take their time.
