Can professors see your private messages on blackboard?
Moderators supervise all private chats: When selected, moderators can see everything that is said in private chat channels. An alert appears at the top of the private chat channel informing users that the chat is being supervised. If you don’t select it, you don’t see the private chat channels.

How do I contact another student on blackboard?
Send an email
- From the course menu, select Tools > Send Email.
- On the Select Users or Select Groups page, select the recipients in the Available to Select box and select the right-pointing arrow to move them into the Selected box.
- Type your Subject and Message.
How do I hide an announcement in Blackboard?
On the New Announcement page, select the Schedule announcement check box. When you schedule an announcement, a Show on date and time is required. You can’t clear that check box. Optionally, select the Hide on check box and select the date and time.
