Can a South African study in Oxford University?

There are about 100 students from South Africa at Oxford in any year and we have nearly 20 members of academic staff from South Africa. We look forward to continuing and strengthening these collaborations in the future and to welcoming many more students and scholars from South Africa to Oxford.

What kind of students does Oxford accept?

To apply to Oxford, students would need to have completed, or be studying for, at least 120 points at stage 1 or above, in appropriate subjects. We would expect students to be performing at the highest level, with at least pass grade 2.

Can you apply to Harvard from South Africa?

The program is open to all South Africans who qualify. Priority will be extended to mid-career applicants from historically marginalized or underrepresented groups, including applicants from rural areas outside urban centers.

The local representative of Crimson Education says South African teens should start planning their applications as soon as possible. Securing a place at Harvard, Stanford or Oxford is extremely tough.

If you wish to follow an undergraduate course here, then you would need to start the course from the beginning. However, this option is not available if you are currently enrolled on a Medicine course elsewhere and wish to apply to study Medicine at Oxford.
