No. Science and/or technology will not destroy the world. However, Humans, who might misuse either could (if they so decide) do a lot of harm. Technology, when applied, is a tool. Humans are generally pretty good at using tools, sometimes for good, occasionally for harm. Science doesn’t exist as a separate entity or force.
Will technology destroy humanity in the long run?
Technology is a result of science. And the tool that it is will ultimately become the weapon against us all in the long run. A race of humans so self serving that all humanity will grow colder and less respective of life in general. Destruction is inevitable in the long run.
