Why do I see a red or blue glow on certain objects when wearing my glasses?

Its probably caused by a high refractive index lens. It will be most noticeable at the edges of the lenses. It is a side effect of the high refractive index. That lens type is suggested because the resulting lens is thinner and lighter than a regular index lens.
