Why do gases have lower densities?
Gases usually tend to have a low density mainly because the intermolecular force of attraction better the gas molecules is very low. As a result, they move all over the place which further leads to the generation of larger inter-molecular spaces. Thus, the increased volume mostly accounts for the low density of gases.
