Should you keep the same tattoo artist?
Should you keep the same tattoo artist?
Though it’s possible to get it done by multiple people, they all have to be able to use styles and blend their own work well with others. When you’re just getting a loose tattoo, everything doesn’t have to flow. So two good artists will each produce two good tattoos.
Is it bad to mix tattoo styles?
There are no rules though and it is your body, whatever you want to look like you can choose although it is up to the artist to decide if they are going to tattoo something or not. I would think black and grey would go well with black line though.
Why don’t tattoo artists work with other artists’ tattoos?
Most artists would rather not work with another artist’s tattoo. It adds constraints to their design potential and it forces them to either: (a) Vandalize an existing, nice tattoo or (b) Have their work seen alongside an existing ugly tattoo. Either way, this won’t be a portfolio piece and won’t get the best work from the artist.
Is it bad to be jumpy when getting a tattoo?
If you might have trouble with pain, consider a numbing cream in advance of getting tattooed (ask your artist first). If you’re jumpy, you’re wasting tattooing time and risking mistakes. Generally though, you’re stressing out the artist which can mean not getting their best work. Don’t move unexpectedly.
Will my tattoo artist touch up my work for free?
Most tattoo artists will touch up their work for free if it’s needed and if it’s not the result of your aftercare. Make sure to ask your artist about touch ups.
Can I get a tattoo while traveling?
If you are traveling with a pack of humans and you all want tattoos, try to give the shop some warning. If it is a spur of the moment idea, then just make sure you all don’t crowd the parlor. Most shops are pretty small, with all the spare room for artists to work.
