Do values really change or it is our understanding of them that changes?

Values as such do not change. Only their expression changes depending on circumstances and situations. In some cultures as well as different circumstances, the priorities assigned to values change.

Can values change Why or why not?

Moral understanding is not the only thing that changes as people mature. People’s values tend to change over time as well. Values that suited you as a child change as you become a young adult, form relationships and make your way in the world. There are other reasons why you might be out of touch with your values.

How do trends impact life?

Fads and trends are not always a bad thing. They can be helpful in reaching goals, creating lasting relationships based on interest, and be fun and exciting. Think of it this way: one of your goals may be to rekindle friendships that have been put on the back burner because of work or a busy family life.

What are the causes of trends?

As stated above, trends are generally created by four major factors: government, international transactions, speculation/expectation and supply and demand. These areas are all linked as expected future conditions shape current decisions and those current decisions shape current trends.

How do trends affect us?

Trends affect us as much as we desperate to appear trendy. In my perspective trends affect us similar to peer pressure. It is never a big thing to those who naturally loves to be trendy. But it affects those who think being trendy is really important in the contemporary world.

What are the reasons for the decline of Family Values?

The absence of parents in a third of homes and the increasing role of schools in instilling values. The social disorders associated with the increasing absence of parents in the lives of their children (drugs, child sex abuse, teen pregnancy, among others). The change in the boundaries and sequence of love, marriage, sex and family.

Why are we used to a rate of change?

We are used to a rate of change that, even if it does make choices and values somewhat contingent, at least allows for reasonable stability.

Can We harness the technology boom to change our value systems?

We came to the conclusion that for the world to prosper, we need the current technology boom to change our value systems. The only way we’ll be able to responsibly harness the fruits that technology bears is with a renewed attitude of cooperation and care for the most vulnerable among us.
