In the confusing, arcane world of cellular service plans, “unlimited data” often doesn’t really mean unlimited. Instead, it means your speed gets reduced if you use too much. Yeah, you can slurp all the data you like, but you’ll do so at nearly unusable speeds if you get too greedy.
How do I set mobile data limit per day?
Set a data limit
- Go to Settings.
- Go to “Network & internet” > “Data usage” > “Data warning & limit”
- Tap on “App data usage cycle.” This will let you set the day that your account starts its monthly cycle.
- Back up and toggle “Set data warning” on.

For users who typically use more than 1.2 TB of data per month or who don’t want to pay for overages, we offer an Unlimited Data option. Is there a fee for the terabyte Internet data usage plan?
This fee is independent from your actual data usage. The Terabyte Internet Data Usage Plan will not apply to customers who enroll in the Unlimited Data Option. Enrollment goes into effect immediately upon signing up for the Unlimited Data option and applies to the entire month in which you sign up.
