I have never lived extensively in Madrid but one thing that is unique about Spain (which saddens me that it’s not made more globally known) is that Spain as a whole is a very safe country, and that includes Madrid. I dont know of any dangerous neighbourhoods per se, but it’s rather dreary/gritty neighbourhoods that exist.
