Something I particularly like about Sweden and the Swedes, is their honesty. Or, at least, their attempt to be as honest and possible. If you come from a culture where it’s ok to take something, if the owner didn’t take care of it carefully enough, you’ll probably interpret Swedish behavior as naive.
Generally Swedes are trained to be emotionally inexpressive. What they mean is clearly in their words, and not so much their bodies or faces. And this can lead more physically expressive cultures to presume they are cold.

Another factor in the English fluency of Scandinavians is that they tend to have a very positive and open mindset, where they embrace the learning of English as an important thing in a global economy to improve their competitiveness and job prospects.
