We partake in hobbies because they enrich our lives. Soon, your hobby will become just another job, you will have lost a creative outlet and you will start to feel the burn out set in. The financial stress and demand could ultimately lead to disappointment and frustration, and leave you resenting your career.

After 3 years of year-round, complete and total focus on photography, it was no longer a hobby. Photography had become a job (or even work). Even my part-time job was working in the studios at the school. I loved the environment, the other photographers, and my job, but what I had lost was my outlet.
