Why the DC universe is failing?
The DC cinematic universe was failing in large part due to a poor choice in directors. Zack Snyder has some pretty good movies and hell I think even did a good job with watchmen. An important thing to note though is that a big part of him as a director is tone. A tone which did not match Superman and Batman.

Warner Bros. does have plans to reboot certain characters, but Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Flash are helping keep the original DCEU storyline alive. Regardless of whether the Snyderverse continues or not, elements of Flashpoint are being incorporated into 2022’s The Flash.

Why doesn’t the DCEU have any good action scenes?
The DCEU doesn’t have a single memorable action scene, since they always have slow motion, flat visuals, and incomprehensible editing. This is also partly because the DC movies’ action scenes don’t have any character moments, whereas Marvel movies’ action scenes just use the action to string the character moments together.

Man of Steel was technically where it all started, but that movie retroactively became the beginning of a cinematic universe, which really began with Batman v Superman.
