Why metallic chains are suspended from body of trucks carrying inflammable materials explain?

Why metallic chains are suspended from body of trucks carrying inflammable materials explain?

When the vehicle is in motion, due to friction in air,the body of the vehicle gets charged. if accumulated, charge becomes excessive, sparking May occur and inflammable materials may catch fire. therefore metallic chains touching the ground are introduced so that the charge quickly leaks to the earth.

Why do vehicles carrying inflammable materials and running on rubber Tyres always drag a chain along the ground?

When the vehicle is moving, due to friction in air, the body of the vehicle gets charged. Hence, mettalic chains dragging the ground is introduced so that the excessive charge gets leaked onto the ground and fire can be avoided.

Why do vehicles carrying inflammable material?

Answer: Moving vehicle gets charged due to friction. The inflammable material may catch fire due to the spark produced by charged vehicle. When metallic rope is used, the charge developed on the vehicle is transferred to the ground and so the fire is prevented.

Why the Tyres of aircraft made slightly conducting?

The tyres of aircraft are made slightly conducting because friction between the tyre and the road which might lead to accumulation of charges on the tyre and if tyre are conductor then the charge produced is transferred to Earth and aircraft has became safe.

Why do vehicles carrying inflammable materials have long metallic ropes?

Vehicles carrying inflammable materials have long metallic ropes touching the ground during their motion. Why? The metallic ropes are used to eliminate the static charges acquired by the vehicle.

What is the purpose of the metal rope on a vehicle?

Easy and powerful. The metal rope is there to ground the vehicle and prevent static electric discharges that could potentially ignite whatever flammable materials they are carrying. Vehicles carrying inflammable materials have long metallic ropes touching the ground during their motion.

Why are metallic chains touching the ground while driving a car?

When the vehicle is in motion, due to friction in air,the body of the vehicle gets charged.if accumulated, charge becomes excessive, sparking May occur and inflammable materials may catch fire.therefore metallic chains touching the ground are introduced so that the charge quickly leaks to the earth.hence the danger of fire is avoided…

Why do vehicles have chains on the front of the vehicle?

Answer:when the vehicle is in motion it may get charged due to friction.due to accumulation of charge on the body of the vehicle sparking may occur and the inflammable material may catch fire . To avoid it metallic chains are used through which the charge from the body of vehicle escape to the ground and hence no chance of sparking.
